My work is a product of a life-long search for the keys to Resilience. In contemplation I am returned again and again to the small, ordinary, and common. Everything is medicine. Or can be. Curiosity led me to learn about deep ecology, and simple biological miracles that occur every day (every moment!) to sustain us. I feel it running through all things. Grief and turmoil are easy to find. They come to us all. But in stillness I have found this undercurrent of foundational love. I have found that grief reveals what is precious. It is my hope that these works serve as a reminder of all that is good in the world: the germination of a seed (or the breaking open of our hearts, difficult as it is), the simple joy of a day in the garden, a moment of stillness to watch the sun set, the song of a cicada, the flutter of a mantis wing. Transformation is inevitable. Metamorphosis is a constant state we are all in together.
